Audio and waveform
Volume, mute, fades, normalization, and optional waveform display in OhRec Studio.
Original recording audio
Open the Audio tool from the Studio tool rail. These controls apply to the main OhRec recording track — microphone, tab audio, or system audio captured at record time.
- Volume — 0–100% slider
- Mute — silence the original track for voiceover-style edits
- Fade in / Fade out — smooth audio at the start and end of the exported file (0–3 seconds each)
- Normalize — optional checkbox to even out perceived loudness at export
Fades and normalization are applied when you export — preview playback reflects your settings.
Waveform
Waveform display is opt-in and off by default. It helps you spot silence, loud sections, and sync points when splitting the timeline.
- Open the Audio tool in the Studio tool rail.
- Under Waveform, click Add waveform to timeline for a lane under the video track.
- Optionally enable Show waveform on video for a preview overlay on the canvas.
Common audio fixes
- Trim loud intro — split at the waveform spike, delete the loud segment
- Quiet narration — raise volume or enable normalize before export
- Music bed (coming soon) — import audio in Media; full mix at export is in development
