OhRec privacy and storage
How OhRec by Peacae — formerly Peacae Recorder — keeps recordings on your device and how to back them up.
Local-first
OhRec stores recordings, OhRec Studio projects, and imported media in your browser's IndexedDB. Nothing is uploaded to Peacae or Wekify servers during normal use.
Storage limits
Quotas depend on browser and available disk space. The library shows usage. Very long or numerous recordings may fill storage — download and delete old files when needed.
What can delete your library
- Clearing site data for this origin
- Private/incognito sessions when the session ends
- Uninstalling the browser profile
Backup
Use Download on important recordings. Studio exports also create new library entries you can download separately.
